Troubleshooting
Use these examples to recognize common problems, understand why they happen, and correct them before they affect the finished result.
Timing
The gel is cured before the magnetic particles are shaped, so the magnet can no longer create the reflective effect.
Use the magnet while the cat-eye gel is still wet, then cure immediately once the effect looks correct.
Work on one nail at a time so the particles do not shift before curing.
Magnet Control
The magnetic pull becomes too weak, creating a faint or poorly defined reflection.
Bring the magnet closer to the wet gel without touching the surface, and move it slowly for better control.
Application
An overly thick layer may wrinkle, flood the cuticle area, cure unevenly, or create a bulky finish.
Apply a smooth, controlled layer that is thick enough for the particles to move but not heavy or uneven.
Remove any gel touching the skin before curing.
